Alt code stands for Alternative code (alternate code, auxiliary code). You can understand that there are 2 ways to work, this is just a secondary way for you to do that job and it will be more difficult. Alt codes allow you to create special and strange symbols such as ♥ ♣ ♦ ♠ •… ► ... with a list of special character codes according to the syntax Alt + [number]. However, here you can copy and paste those characters easily with just a click on the special symbol you choose that you can paste them anywhere you want.

You can also learn and create these special characters yourself by combining the Alt codes by typing the combination of Alt keys and numbers corresponding to the characters. On your computer keyboard you can easily find some common words like @, #, $,%, ^, & ... but these are just the few characters that we often use in text editing, chat, social networks, tables ... To create more special characters, more rich, you can use the input method as Alt code.

Here's how to type a symbol with the Alt + number method:

1. The keyboard must be in Numlock state

2.Press and hold the Alt key on the keyboard

3. Enter the Alt value corresponding to the desired character on the table above

How to use Alt code to create special characters and symbols:

1. On this website you can find the list of Alt Code and Unicode values to create special characters and symbols. On the homepage, the default is a list of basic Alt Code values on 2 separate tables. There are also many other categories such as Misc, Language, Currency, Math, Time, Game ... for you to explore.

2. The general process for these two types of code is: the icon is selected when you click, then drag and drop to use or copy & paste wherever you want.

3. Cool symbols and symbols are entered using the Alt Code value on computers running the Windows operating system. You cannot enter data using Unicode values. Unicode values can be used in HTML, Java, etc.
